PAX East Returns to Boston!

Gamers across the Northeast U.S.  will be flocking to PAX East, the ultimate gaming convention, March 11-13, 2011, at the Boston Convention and Exhibit Center, in Boston, MA.

What is Pax East? Here's a description from their website:
"PAX East is a three-day game festival for tabletop, videogame, and PC gamers. We call it a festival because in addition to dedicated tournaments and freeplay areas we've got nerdcore concerts, panel discussions, and an exhibitor hall filled with booths displaying the latest from top game publishers and developers. Even with all this amazing content the best part of PAX East is hanging out with other people who know their shit when it comes to games." Captain Action Enterprises and Round 2, LCC have announced plans for a new toy line featuring the world’s first superhero action figure, Captain Action. Like the classic toy of the 1960s, this new line will feature 12” action figures and popular super hero costumes. The new line will be designed to appeal to passionate collectors, as well as new fans and young kids and will be available at Toys”R”Us, specialty stores and online. This new version looks a bit 'beefier' than previous releases, and the face sculpt is a bit different too.
There are also negotiations to produce a variety of super-hero costumes for Captain Action to change into, a staple of the iconic hero. Back in the 60's, Captain Action could also become the Phantom, Superman, Batman, the Green Hornet, Captain America, and a host of others.
I have the Playing Mantis versions of Captain Action, Kid Action (Action Boy) and Dr. Evil from the 80's in my collection; here's hoping this version lasts a bit longer on the you shelves.
