Are you a LEGO fan? The company has just released Series 4 of its minifigures line, with 16 new characters for you to collect. Sci Fi related figures include a Mad Scientist, the Wolfman, and Frankenstein, but there's also a Fishing Gnome, a Hazmat worker, and a Punk Rocker too. I've found them as low at $2.99 at the local 5 Below store.
As with many of these collectibles, since the bags they ship in aren't labeled, you never what you'll get until you open it, but that's part of the fun.
