The editors of Popular Mechanics magazine and author Gregory Benford have collaborated on a new book, 'The Wonderful World that Never Was.'
It's an illustrated account of inventions and devices that writers and scientists in the 1930's through the 60's predicted would change our world. Here you can find things like flying ambulances, space suits made from paper, and living room couches you can rinse off with a garden hose.  The book is a fun look from the past, about the future. Wait a minute;  I think I'm getting a temporal headache. You can buy it online or at your local bookstore for about $25.
