Chief Concerns, by Marc Morisseau

A bunch of stuff this month:
  • It's April, which means it's finally Spring. Now my thoughts go to two things: all the work I need to do in my garden, and getting revved up for the Spring/Summer Movie season!
  • Thanks to James Hinsey for letting me borrow his dvd copy of the Dr. Who classic episode 'Moonbase", featuring the 2nd Doctor, Patrick Troughton, and some funky-looking Cybermen. Lots of fun!
  • Our family now has a HDTV set, and I constantly have to remind myself that, as good as that picture looks, getting out into reality is even better.
  • My daughter turns 21 this year. Where did the time go?
  • Summer usually means I pull out the bucket list, and read those SF/Fantasy novels I've always wanted to finish.
  • The RISFC needs a fundraiser, for ourselves and another charity. I'll say this as politely as possible: to those responsible for this, please get it done yesterday.
  • Anyone interested in sponsoring a Sci Fi film festival as a local library? Jay Kingston organized one a few years ago, and it would be a nice way to promote the RISFC. I volunteer to help!
Now excuse me, I have to squeeze in some time to binge-watch some Netflix shows, on my reality-altering TV.
