
Jay Scott Kingston, 60, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 18, 2021. Born in Warwick, Rhode Island, he was the son of the late Alfred ‘John’ Kingston and the late Shirley Kingston.
Jay was a master of trivia, a man of unrelenting reverence, loved his family fiercely, and gave everything to and for those he loved. He was a connoisseur of science-fiction and fantasy, to the point where he cofounded the RISFC (Rhode Island Science Fiction Club) as well as the public access show Sci-Fi Journal where he was a host. He was also a writer and an artist, having drawn and painted and even studied art history until he lost his eyesight many years ago. Jay was a baseball coach, cub scout master, and an assistant scout master for his sons.
Jay is survived by his loving wife Barbara (Stock) Kingston, his sons Justin Kingston (Diamond) and Ian Kingston (Madison), brothers John Kingston (Kathleen) and Jeffrey Kingston (Bridget), as well as many other beloved family members.
Jay truly left an inspiring and lasting touch on everyone who knew him and was loved by so many.
