ITV Studios America and HDFILMS has announced plans for a re-imagining of Gerry Anderson's series Space:1999. The project is still being developed and has yet to be shopped to studios.
The original series ran for two seasons during the 1970's, and featured the crew of Moonbase Alpha dealing with the Moon leaving Earth's orbit, following an explosion of fissionable material on its surface.
