BBC has announced the addition of three new regular characters to the upcoming 11th season of Doctor Who. As Jodi Whittaker steps into the role of the Thirteenth Doctor, she will be joined by Bradley Walsh (Law & Order: UK) as Graham, Tosin Cole (Hollyoaks) as Ryan, and Mandip Gill (Hollyoaks) as Yasmin. Sharon D Clarke (Holby City) will also be joining the series in an unspecified “returning” role.
Along with the new cast line-up, BBC also revealed that the new series will be a 10-week run of 50-minute episodes in Autumn 2018, kicking off with a feature hour for the opening launch.
Doctor Who returns to BBC and BBC America with the Christmas Special, “Twice Upon a Time,” on December 25, 2017.
So the good news, we have a new season of Doctor Who, and a female Doctor! The bad news, we'll have to wait until late next year to see Season 11.
