Free Comic Book Day is fast approaching! Comic Book retailers across the country celebrate and promote reading by offering special free issues of comics in their stores.
For children, it's a chance to introduce them to the wonders of comics, and encourage reading. For adults, it's being able to collect one of a kind comic issues from publishers including Marvel, DC, Dark Horse, and a number of Indy companies.
Now, the comic book store owners have to pay for these titles, so don't be surprised if you're limited to picking up a couple of issues, but most retailers have contests, Cosplay, and lots of other goodies that day too.
