Lego has offered a first look at their S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier set that will be unveiled at the Toy Fair in New York. The Helicarrier appeared in 2012’s The Avengers as the enormous flying, floating base for the intelligence agency S.H.I.E.L.D. It served as the set for a significant portion of the film including some incredible fight scenes between Avengers and with Loki.
The gigantic Lego S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier set includes 2,996 pieces and will be on sale in March for $349.99. According to Lego, the set has fighter jets, ground support vehicles, two runways, and microscale Quinjets. The control center is inside the set, hidden beneath the runway in the middle of the Helicarrier. Figures in the set are Nick Fury, Black Widow, Captain America, Hawkeye, and eight S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, then later in the spring Maria Hill will be available. The Helicarrier is 11 inches tall, 31 inches long, and 17 inches wide. You also have to decide where you're going to display it!
