House of Cards star Molly Parker is staying in the Netflix family and will play Maureen Robinson in their reboot of Lost in Space. The matriarch of the Robinson family, the character was played by June Lockhart in the original series and Mimi Rogers in the 1998 feature film.
She joins a cast that includes Toby Stephens (Black Sails) as her husband, astrophysicist/expedition commander John Robinson; Maxwell Jenkins (Sense8) as her son, Will Robinson; and Taylor Russell (Falling Skies) as her daughter, Judy Robinson.
The 10-episode first season is set to air in 2018.
