_ Happy  25th Anniversary R.I. Science Fiction Club!

Yes, 2012 marks the 25th anniversary of our organization! Our first 'official' meeting was to watch the premiere of Star Trek: The Next Generation, so we share a birthday with that  tv series.  A group of about 15 of us sat around the tv set, glaring at what was then awesome special effects, and we Trek fans drooled over the new characters, storyline, and of course, the new Enterprise.

Our numbers have grown and waned over the years, but we still remain an active, viable part of the science fiction community in New England. We plan on hosting several special events this year, culminating in a special Anniversary celebration this September.
