Bimonthly Meetings Announced:The RISFC membership has decided to start meeting on a bimonthly basis.
February Meeting: Potluck Dinner & Post-Apocalyptic Movie Night! Saturday, February 11, 2012, 6-9 pm, Woodbury Union church hall, 58 Beach Avenue, Warwick, R.I. Bring your favorite potluck food item, and a canned good donation for the church's Food Pantry. We'll provide the 'End of the World' movies, and some table games. It's a nice, relaxing, fun evening with fellow SF fans, so please bring a friend!
December Meeting: Annual Holiday Party, Saturday, December 10, 2011, 6-9 pm, Woodbury Union church hall, 58 Beach Avenue, Warwick, R.I. Gift exchange (Sci Fi gift worth no more than $10), Potluck dinner, and a Holiday Craft. Don't forget a canned good donation for the church's food pantry.
October Meeting: Halloween Party, Saturday, October 8, 2011, from 6-10pm, Woodbury Union church hall, 58 Beach Avenue, Warwick, R.I. This is a Spooktacular party for adults 18 +. Please bring a Halloween-related potluck food item, and a canned good donation for the church food pantry. We'll have a costume contest, pumpkin carving, games, and more! RSVP to info@risfc.org by September 28, 2011.
August Meeting: Cookout at the home of Chairman Marc Morisseau. Saturday, August 13, 2011, starting at 1 pm. Email info@risfc.org for directions and more information.
July Meeting: Activity with members of the Starfleet crew USS Darwin! Saturday, July 16, 2011, Coles River Family Fun Center in Swansea, MA. Meet time is 1pm, and cost for mini-golf is $7 per person. Go to www.colesriver.com for directions and more information.
June Meeting: Trip to Roger Williams Zoo! Saturday, June 14, 2011. Meet in the zoo's parking lot at 1 pm. You can bring a lunch, or purchase inside the park. For admission price info and directions, go to their website: www.rwpzoo.org. In case of inclement weather, we'll still meet at the zoo at 1pm, then decide on a different activity.
May Meeting: Monty Python Night! Saturday, May 14, 2011, 6-10pm, at the Woodbury Union church, 58 Beach Avenue, Warwick, R.I. Bring a Spam-related dish (or something healthier), a canned good donation, and be ready to enjoy classics like 'The Holy Grail', and Monty Python's Flying Circus. Now go tell your friends, before I taunt you a second time...!
April Meeting: Comic Book Night:Saturday, April 9, 2011, 6-10 pm, at the Woodbury Union church, 58 Beach Avenue, Warwick R.I. Guest Susan and Everett Soares, and artist Nate Piekos will be exploring the world of comics. It's Potluck, and bring a canned good donation for the food pantry.
March Meeting: Video Gaming NIght: Saturday, March 12, 20011, 6-10pm, at the Woodbury Union church, Warwick, RI. Bring your gaming gear, some snacks, and a canned good donation.
February Meeting: Board Game Night. Saturday, February 12, 2011, 5-10pm, at the Woodbury Union church hall. Bring your board games, something to eat, and a donation for the Food Pantry.
