In East Providence and Pawtucket, it airs on local Interconnect (channel 18) on Fridays and Saturdays at 8 PM. Channel 25 for RI Verizon viewers.

History of Sci-Fi Journal
The first episode aired in January 1996 and was only 30 minutes long. The first year it only aired sporadically in East Providence while waiting for an opening in the statewide interconnect. In September 1997 Sci-Fi Journal was placed on the RI Statewide Interconnect A channel and has been in the same time slots ever since. Currently the show is an hour long and is updated regularly every month across the state. In November 2012 Sci-FI Journal won the 2012 RI PEG Award for Best News/Magazine Format category and was nominated for Best Edited Segment.

We have viewers in Arkansas, California, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and Virginia, where your local public access channel now has access to Sci-Fi Journal through the PEG Media website. PegMedia.org is a media transfer site for PEG (Public, Education, Government) community television stations and producers.
